Measurement Madness

1S has been hard at work in Mathematics.  We are learning to measure accurately from edge to edge with no spaces between our units.

We learned that measurement is used every single day-- from telling time, to cooking, to building, to driving...
1S is really enjoying this math unit, and we are becoming excellent at measuring in the process!

Winter Party in 1S

Sharing Our Learning

We culminated our Native American unit and invited parents to view our research and projects.  The sharing began with Animoto Slide Show presentations.  Each region of the Native American units was represented:  Eastern Woodlands, Plains, Northwest, Southwest, and the Far North.  A small group of students chose a region to share and completed an Animoto slideshow together.  After the presentations, parents viewed student research and Native American artifacts.

We thank our families for attending and recognizing our hard work.
