About Me

Hi there!  I am Lisa Schreiner, and I am so excited to be your child's Idea Lab teacher this school year. I have lived in the St. Louis area for the past 24 years, but I have lived in many other places in my life as my dad served in the Air Force. We moved around quite a bit and lived in Italy, Germany, Texas, Florida, Illinois, and a couple of other mid-western states. I have been teaching in St. Louis since I moved here 25 years ago.  Can't believe it's been 25 years! I consider St. Louis my hometown now, and I am happy to call it my home! I am married to Chris, a fellow educator, and I have two children- Evan (16) and Marisa (11). I enjoy reading, exercising, spending time with friends and family, watching my kids play sports, and trying new culinary dishes.

Although this is my 7th year in Ladue, I spent 18 years teaching in the Hazelwood School District prior to coming to Ladue. I have taught Kindergarten, First, Second, and Fifth Grades.  I received my bachelor's degree at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. I received my master's degree from Maryville University as well as gifted certification from Lindenwood University. I have a love for life-long learning, and I really enjoy the challenges and excitement that teaching brings. I look forward to an exciting year with your child full of joy and learning.

Here are some other photos that tell a little more about me and my family.

Here's our new pup, Snoop!  He's the new baby of the family.
He's added a whole new level of energy to our lives! 😂

Our youngest and oldest both play soccer.
It's been fun watching them learn the sport and grow.

We love to travel together.

Italy was the highlight of the summer of 2019!  Visiting my family and showing my kids where I am from was an unforgettable experience!

We love exploring the outdoors.

I look forward to getting to know your child and your family during our years together.

Here's to learning, growing, and getting to know each other!
