Economics and Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement (JA) is a non-profit organization that works with local businesses and organizations to deliver hands-on programs on the topics of financial literacy, work-readiness, and entrepreneurship.  JA sends volunteers from businesses in the community to work with children on these economic topics.  

Our class participated in Junior Achievement with Mrs. Palmer, a business woman from our community, who is also a former Reed parent.

Family Tech Week

Here are some student projects created using a program called Tagxedo.  Students worked in partners to create a word cloud in the shape of the animal that they researched and wrote about for a Poetry Unit.
