120th day of School!

First graders really enjoyed celebrating the 120th day of school!
First graders celebrate the 120th day instead of the 100the day of school because our first grade standards ask us to count, add, and represent numbers up to 120.

Students dressed up like they were 120 years old and completed activities related to 120.

Students wrote about what life would be like if they lived to be 120.  They built designs with 120 cubes.  They completed missing numbers with skip counting.  They completed math games related to 120 and participated in a few more hands-on place value activities.

Students completed exercises and dance moves within 120 seconds.  They recorded how many they were able to complete.

It was fun, and they looked adorable too.
Great first grade memories!
